About Phil

Pastor Phil Vargas was born and raised in San Jose, CA where he began his pastoral career at age 22 with the Assemblies of God. He has received theological training from Global University and currently finishing up graduate studies at Grand Canyon University. His passion is to take biblical concepts and apply them to relevant, everyday living.

After experiencing the leading of God, Pastor Phil decided to accept the invitation to become the next pastor of a vibrant church in Yakima, WA. Since May of 2011, he has been working to prepare for the next stage of growth—leading to overfull parking lots, lots of first time visitors, and preparing a new generation of leaders to advance the cause of the Gospel.

He has been married to his wife Daysi since 2003. They have three children, Felipe, Ezekiel, and Abigail.
