1 simple concept to become truly happy!

Don’t love what you have now more than what you’ll get from God in the future!

It’s a simple concept, but one that can lead to many future rewards:

Pastors: We can’t love the people we have now more than the people that God is going to give us in the future. If we do, we will stagnate our churches and ministries. The people who have yet to know Christ through us are just as important as the people who are being reached every week.

Church people: Don’t love what you have now more than what God has promised you. Is investing your time into a ministry now worth it? Anything you do to proclaim God will never returns void (Isaiah 55:11). Is the money that you have now worth more to you than the promised blessing God gives to those who are generous? It seems that the Bible promises awesome blessings to those who give (Malachi 3:10-12; 2 Corinthians 9:7). Do you value your life now more than the life God wants to give you? It seems as though we make a huge mistake, as our future glory surpasses anything that we could imagine now (Romans 8:18, 23; John 10:10).

To those who don’t have a relationship with Jesus: It’s easy to dismiss what God wants to do in your life. Sure, there have been many who have shamed true Christianity with their sexual scandals, lack of financial integrity, or their skewed interpretation of the Bible. However, consider the following:

1- Jesus is the only way to the Father (John 14:6). It’s impossible to know God outside of faith in Jesus.

2- The greatest true love that one can find is through Jesus (John 10:11). Yeah, being in love is great, but being loved unconditionally (and feeling that love) is beyond compare. Just ask someone who has an authentic relationship with Christ!

3- We are free from a past of sin, guilt, and condemnation (Romans 8:2). We are a new creation in Christ with an unconditional forgiveness. Consider that you will no longer have to worry about what happens after you die because you are guaranteed an eternity in heaven!

4- You are given a value beyond compare (Ephesians 2:10). Being restored in Christ’s image makes you a masterpiece in God’s eyes. The worth that we receive makes everything else irrelevant (including the opinions of others).

Do yourself a favor: don’t value this life more than what God wants to offer you. Make the best decision you can now, and become the person that God wants you to be!
