Trouble and Triumph, Nehemiah 6: Part II

Good advice for anyone who desires to accomplish great things: “Follow God and do what He says.”

The funny thing about Christianity is how it can be misrepresented. We don’t come to Christ in hopes that all of our problems will go away. Everyone, including our great heroes in the faith, suffered through tribulation. They faced opposition from people who were both pagan and of the family of faith. They all pleaded for God’s help. Yet, for some reason, many feel as though faith in Jesus will somehow exempt us from suffering in this lifetime.

Sermon Recap: With Everything! Sunday Night, 9/2/12

And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him… And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; foryou serve the Lord Christ.

This was my Labor Day sermon in which my intent was to challenge people in four different areas to Christian Service.

Let me preface by stating that my belief that we do at church matters—in fact, it is the most important thing we can do in this world. At church we proclaim Christ, grow spiritually, and do work which will have an eternal impact. Every soul saved, every life restored, every testimony realized is forever… and nothing is more important that “forever.”
