I’m not worthy!

For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 1 Corinthians 15:9

When you first read this, you might think that Paul is being overdramatic or disingenuous. I mean, this is the same guy whose sweaty rag healed the sick and the same guy who raised the dead.

But when you consider the calling as a Christian, you are immediately overwhelmed at what a privilege it really is to serve the almighty. Some would get happy to be in the entourage of a famous celebrity or political figure. Some would find it an honor to be the waterboy for their favorite sports team.

We have the honor of serving the guy who created the heavens and earth… the mighty one who created life. Yeah, I would say that is a great honor.

So when you consider your life as a Christian, remember that who you are and who you serve is not insignificant. It’s not a waste of time. You are serving the Lord of Lords and King of Kings.

  • An intriguing discussion is worth comment. I think which you need to write much more on this subject, it may well not be a taboo subject but normally folks are not enough to speak on such topics. To the next. Cheers
